Our October Guest Designer, Kerry McConnell is back again with a cute project!
Happy Friday everyone! Kerry here bringing you my third card as October’s guest designer here on the blog!
Today’s card features another one of my favorite stamping themes, snarky sayings! This cute little chicken by Unity Stamp Co sure is bringing the sass and I love it!
After stamping and coloring the image with Ohuhu alcohol markers, I cut it out using an arch die from the Spellbinder’s Essential Arches die set. The saying was cut out using a sentiment die from Taylor Expressions and adhered to a slightly larger layering piece and then mounted to the arch piece which I cut with a pair of scissors to match the arch.
My first layer with the image on it was adhered to a slightly larger arch from the Essential Arches die set and then attached to the even larger arch which was cut out in yellow using the Color Block Accent Arches Etched Die by Spellbinders. The final front layer was cut from the largest Essential Arches die in kraft cardstock and attached to an identical arch that was scored about a half inch down to create a shaped card.
For the final touch I added two gems by Pink and Main to the sentiment strip.
