Happy Saturday and welcome to the Cafe! I’m so glad you stopped today because I’m taking a trip down memory lane!

In the summer of 2016, Amy Tsuruta gave me an incredible gift…she asked if I wanted to join the Coffee Loving Cardmakers (now Papercrafters)! I can’t believe it’s been 10 years of creating coffee/tea/cocoa cards and I still love every minute! My collection of caffeinated-themed stamps, dies, and papers just seems to keep growing — there doesn’t seem to be a coffee/tea cup/pot I can resist getting. The love (and struggle) is real!!
So I thought I’d take a look back at a few of my favorite cards I made in 2016 as a brand new Design Team member. It was fun and a little sad at the same time as so many brands are no longer around but they can stay alive in our creations.

Summer 20216 Coffee Blog Hop. This card was created with Paper Sweeties Coffee First set. Blogs were ‘the bomb’ and this was one got the highest views (1,673) and comments (66) I had received as of that date (possibly ever). I’m not sure why, but most likely it was because of the blog hop!

August 2016. I think this was the first ‘no line’ stamping and watercoloring card. It’s made with STAMPlorations stamps and stencil. At the time, doing ‘mixed media’ to me was using different blending using a stencil – lol. Ok, I still don’t go beyond that too much with mixed media, but I was so happy how this one turned out.

September 2016. I do believe I still have some of that paper in my stash! I know I still have and use the Taylored Expressions Brick embossing folder. This Clearly Besotted set called Warm Solutions II was one of my favorites which I believe is retired. Now I have to go see if I still have that sentiment…it’s a good one!

October 2016. Sweet Stamp Shop’s Cuppa Coffee stamp set. This may have come with matching dies. Remember the solid ones that you’d just wing it to see if you could cut the image out right or if you die cut first and then tried to stamp on the die cut. Thank goodness the Misti came along! In any case, I fussy cut every one of these images!

December 2016. Papertrey Ink Spruce & Springs is the focus for this one. I’m not sure which brand of coffee cup or sentiment, but I’m sure they’re in my stash somewhere! My blog post said that day we had the first snowfall of the season and, of course, I was snuggled in my craft room creating cards!
Thanks so much for taking this little stroll down memory lane with me. I hope you enjoyed it and maybe you’ll take your own stroll with a cup of delish coffee/tea/cocoa and remember past creations.
Have a fabulous Saturday!
