We’re so excited to announce our April Guest Designer, Christine Heye!

Hello all you crafty, coffee-lovin’ makers out there! My name is Christine Heye (Hi). I have been a crafty gal since I can remember and Love, Luv, LOVE card making. Coffee cards have always been one of my favs to create! So being privileged to participate, as the April guest designer for the awesome Coffee Loving Card Makers Blog is truly an honor. Hope you like my first contribution!! I can say- She’s in a Mood! Hahaha.

This first card features this hilarious and clearly exhausted, “over it, until coffee has been consumed” lady from the “Coffee is Not Enough” rubber stamp set by the Unity Stamp Co. I adore rubber stamps and these guys knock it out of the park, with their images and quality. I colored her up using Copic markers and touches of white gel pen.

The sentiments are also Unity (from various coffee sets). The awesome frame (Deckle Frame Die set) and super fun background paper (Java Good Time 6×6 pad) are by the incredible Brass & Bliss Co.

I sanded the paper with a sanding block, brushed some white pigment ink and a dark brown pigment ink over top of the sanding grooves, then used Wow embossing Clear Matt Dull to seal and add a bit of texture. This allows for the paper to still show-up, but support the main image, without stealing the show. Besides- she looks so worn out, even a bit ratty….the paper could tie in nicely, being a bit distressed and dark, too.
