Happy Monday and happy March! The card I am sharing today makes me think of Spring.

Let’s talk about color. When I was in college, I took a color theory class. That was a long time ago! So, when my friend Kelly Taylor offered a class in color theory, I signed up. I highly recommend this online class as Kelly is an awesome teacher and it is filled with lots of great tips.
My card features the Split Compliment. A Split Compliment is a three color combination comprising a base color and two colors directly adjacent to its compliment. I knew I was going to have red strawberries and its direct compliment is green. I looked to my color wheel for the colors that were next to green. In this case it was yellow-green and blue-green. This combination offers a vibrant color palette that’s pleasing to the eye.
I used the following products to create my card:
~ Teapot from Honey Bee Stamps
~ Lovely Layers Strawberries from Honey Bee Stamps
~ Sunflower Dance stamp set from Simon Says Stamp

I hope I inspired you to get out your color wheel and try something new.
Hugs and mugs,
Mary
