Coffee Loving Papercrafters

Hello there, Christine here with a cozy card using Super Sponsor Catherine Pooler Designs newest release- books, tea and coffee. I’m using the new On the Shelf Coverplate die paired with the Excerpts Sentiments Stamp and die bundle with the Right at Home 6×6 Patterned Paper set.

I first die cut the wood bookcase with the On the Shelf Coverplate die and realized that the book shelf patterned paper from the Right at Home 6×6 Patterned Paper set had books that fit perfectly into this shelf. I fussy cut the books and I actually made a happy mistake in which I tried a new low tack adhesive tape that shouldn’t have stuck to the paper, but it did, and lifted off some of the color from the patterned paper. I realized that I liked the grungy look of imperfect books (mirrors my books at home) to show how “loved” they are.

I applied that low tack tape to all of the books to create a uniform look and I’m happy with the outcome. I then stamped and die cut a sentiment and tea cup using Excerpts Sentiments Stamp and die bundle from Charlotte’s Web. I was trying to match the muted pink of one of the books, but I have limited copics and it didn’t perfectly match, but I think it is ok anyway. Adding a few heart embellishments finished the card and I love how it turned out- I hope you do too!
