Guest Designer – March 28

It is the final Friday of March and our guest Sylvie’s final post with us. Make sure you read to the bottom. We’re doing a look back at all her amazing projects!

Sylvie Kaliscards is back for her last project on the Coffee Loving Papercrafters blog. What’s better than coffee and good reading? Coffee and friends of course!

Products

Coffee couple and Hugs in a mug (The Greeting Farm)
Coffee break (Whimsy Stamps)
Headline messages and Monthly kit August 2018 (Hero Arts)
Newspaper die (The Stamp Market)
Happy headlines (Concord and 9th)
Fresh roast stencil (Simon Says Stamp)
Coffee stains stencil #147 (AALL & Create)

Distress inks: Weathered wood, Vintage photo
Distress oxides: Gathered twigs, Ground espresso and Twisted citron

To create this card, I die cut the newspaper from white cardstock, using The Stamp Market Newspaper die, and I stamped the headlines and text, using several sets:

  • Headline messages from Hero Arts for the headline and tiny text
  • Happy headlines from Concord and 9th for the price tag
  • Coffee break from Whimsy Stamps for the Expresso yourself and Coffee & friends make the perfect blend sentiments

I then blended Ranger Distress ink Weathered wood around the edges and then created the coffee stains with an AALL & Create stencil and Distress ink Vintage photo

Next, I stamped the cute cat from The Greeting Farm Hugs in a mug set on white cardstock and then on masking paper. I fussy cut the mask and adhered it on top of the cat and mug. I then stamped the girl from The Greeting Farm Coffee couple set and removed the mask. I colored the images with Copic markers.

To create the background, I blended a mix of Distress oxides Gathered twigs, Ground espresso and Twisted citron through Simon Says Stamp Fresh roast stencil.

I glued the background onto the cardbase and adhered the newspaper with foam tape. Finally, I adhered the cute friends with foam tape.

I hope you enjoyed seeing my projects and they brought you a little inspiration. Thank you for stopping by. A big thank you to Amy and the Coffee Loving Papercrafters for inviting me!
