Sylvie Kaliscards is back guest designing on the Coffee Loving Papercrafters blog today with a little Saint Patrick’s day inspiration!
Products:
Yeti birthday, Brewskis and Coffee time die set (Whimsy Stamps)
Sassy speech bubble (Waffle Flower Crafts)
A birdie told me and Lucky clovers (Lawn Fawn)
A little grainy stencil (Clearly Besotted)
Argyle stencil (Newton’s Nook)
Ranger Distress oxides: Twisted citron, Lucky clover, Black soot, Gathered twigs and Scorched timber
I started by cutting the background panel from white cardstock. The panel is 5.5 by 4.75″. I also cut the cardbase, slightly greater than the background panel.
I masked the bottom of the panel to create a table surface later on, with masking tape, and I blended Ranger Distress oxide Lucky clover on the upper part. I then placed the diamond layer from the Newton’s Nook Argyle stencil set and blended Ranger Distress oxide Black soot through it. I removed the stencil and placed the second layer, aligning the diamond shapes on the ones repeated on the stencil and I blended Ranger Distress oxide Twisted citron, insisting over black soot for a better result.
For the bottom part, after moving the masking tape above the limit, I blended Gathered twigs and then, Scorched Timber through the A little grainy stencil from Clearly Besotted.
Next, I stamped the cute yeti from the Whimsy Stamps Yeti birthday stamp set and speech bubbles from the Lawn Fawn A birdie told me and Waffle Flower Crafts Sassy speech bubble stamps sets, with Tsukineko Memento Black Tuxedo ink on white cardstock. I masked the bottom part and side of the thought bubble and stamped the two glasses of beer from the Whimsy Stamps Brewskis stamp set and the sentiment in the other speech bubble from the same set.
I then colored the images with Copic markers and used the coordinating dies to cut them out.
I also die cut the Whimsy Stamps Coffee inner outline from Lawn Fawn liquorice cardstock and used W Copic markers to add shading.
I also die cut the sentiment It’s coffee time from white cardstock and Tim Holtz Idea-ology Metallic Jewels cardstock in dark green. I glued the white letters on the cup and then glued the green letters on top, with a small offset.
I also die cut the Lawn Fawn Lucky clovers from the same Tim Holtz Idea-ology metallic green cardstock.
To assemble the card, I adhered the background panel onto the cardbase with liquid adhesive. I then glued the cute yeti inside the cup, added the clovers behind and on the sides and then adhered the bundle on the background panel with foam tape.
I glued the 3 tiny bubbles from the thought bubble with liquid adhesive and the thought and speech bubbles with foam tape.
