Happy New Year! Helen is here today. We got snowed in for 5 days now, but the kids loving the extended Winter break for sure… LOL… During these snow storm days, the kiddos always drink hot cocoa after playing in the snow. And for me, I love having them at home because they always give me warm hugs every day.

There is always a way to send some winter hugs to your loved ones and friends, and one of the ways is handmade cards. Today, I would like to share with you this simple, Winter Hugs 7 Warm Wishes card.
My snow-themed hot cocoa card was inspired by the Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge #37 theme: SNOWFLAKE

On my card I used the products from one of our Super Sponsors, Creative Worship Stamps:
- I Like Big Cups Clear Stamp Set
- Winter Hugs Clear Stamp Set
- Snowstorm Stencil
- Sparkle Snowflake Die Set
- Stitched Circles 1 Die Set
- Stitched Rectangle Die Set

I used ink blending with stencil to create that background using blending brush and VersaFine Clair Arctic ink pad. Then, I cut it with the largest size of the Stitched Rectangle dies. I cut out a piece of vellum paper with one of the Stitched Circles 1 dies.
I stamped one of the cups from I Like Big Cups stamp set with Versamark Ink Pad, then I added some Silver Embossing Powder, and then heat it up with a craft heat gun. I fussy cut the cup with micro-tip scissors. I colored the top part of the cup with alcohol markers and added some marshmallows cut out from my stash on the cup. I cut out a piece of silver glitter cardstock with one of the snowflake dies, and added it to cup with permanent-dries clear adhesive.
I stamped the penguin and sentiment from Winter Hugs stamps et with Memento Tuxedo Black on a white cardstock, then I colored the penguin with alcohol markers.
Final step, I added all pieces to the card base with I added both on the card with permanent-dries clear adhesive. Card is done.
Thanks for stopping by our blog today. Stay warm!
