July 5 – Guest Designer

Friday’s in July will be filled with our Guest Designer, Patricia Roebuck!

Hello to all new and old friends 💛 I am filled with excitement and gratitude for Amy inviting me to guest with you here at Coffee Loving Papercrafters, sharing coffee (and tea) memory keeping ideas. I am Patricia or Ms. P as my team members call me. I am from Louisiana, 57 but still a kid at heart and have definitely learned to laugh at myself more. I started my creative journey after working for a major insurance company for 20 years, while my husband (of 33 years) and I anxiously waited an unexpected three years for our daughter (now turning 16) to adopt her from China. I am so thankful for that journey leading me to scrapbooking/cardmaking design teams for 12 years as well as working PT for a stamping company for two years.

Some fun ‘Currently’ about me:  Love bubble teas with my daughter while my husband comes to hang out with us.  I am a ballet/photographer to my amazing daughter (so proud of her).  A cat mom to two other girls – they follow me EVERYWHERE!  I use an old Brother typewriter that was my Mom’s from the 80’s. I learned how to type on it.  Reading/Listening through the Bible chronologically on Bible App.  Also illustrating my faith with art journaling.  Working PT at Whole Foods on the Whole Body team.  Practicing Yoga, HIIT, Barre, and meditation from an app as much as I can…and most of all excited to get to know everyone here and to create with you together sharing our love of caffeine!!

Hello Coffee (and tea) Friends!  I always love seeing what the team comes up and am very excited to be guesting with you.

I am a memory keeper, card maker, planner person, journaler at the moment.  I kind of love it all…LOL, and I always find new ways to keep creating that work with me as an older Mom, working outside the home, and my daughter a teenager now!  So for today, I want to show you how I have been keeping up with my memory planner, with lots of coffee involved…let’s go!

As much as I would love every single photo in my memory planner, I have had to be selective and pick the highlights, and leave the rest for my albums or other creating I do.  For me, this was a big change I needed to make so that I would keep documenting those little memories.  I still have plenty of space to journal any other details too!  So the first thing I decide are my photos, which ones really capture my week.

Since I have been dabbling in more journaling, I don’t hesitate to grab those items left on my desk when I create, especially in my memory planner.  In this case, I grabbed the stamps on my desk, and stamped the background of my pages first, then I adhere the photos.

I am very much an over thinker, and this process has been very freeing.  I feel like I get the creative outlet, memories documented, and most importantly have fun!  So once those photos are down, next I start adding any other stamping, stickers, and die cuts.

I had so much fun highlighting my coffee drinking this week and even more fun re-discovering all the fun stamps and products I have related to coffee!!

Now if you noticed, I also include tea.  I’m a boba girl, any kind, I love it!  My daughter and I go ALL the time, especially during summer.  So fun documenting our trips there.

I really had fun with stamps on this project, and if you notice, I used a coffee ring stamp throughout the spread.  I used a few new and a few from my stash.  I’ll list them below and try to provide a link if the stamps are still available.  But I bet you are like me, and have lots in your stash!

Thank you so much for stopping by, so nice to meet everyone, and I will be back with more soon!
