Katie here with Kim today.. She is a long time friend of mine. Crafty friends are the best kinds of friends really. I was so happy to have her invite to be a guest DT for CLC! If you didn’t know, I was part of the team for several years, but stepped away, it is fun to come back and play.
My card features some Ellen Hutson sets that are retired, but so fun! I paired them with a Pink and Main Circle Die and Catherine Pooler Scallop die. My main goal creating this was to use these fun coffee stamps and was wanting to use yellow, salmon and brown for my colors. I think it turned out pretty fun! Kim always inspires me with her use of colors, so I can’t wait to see what she whipped up!
We both used the same stamp set “A Breve Note” by Ellen Hutson (retired). I took cues from her lovely creation and also used bright yellows, brown, and pink tones. I also added in some floral papers by paper piecing for the same vibe. I ADORE all of her creations and she inspires me all the time. I really am a HUGE fan of Katies use of pattern papers in combination with her use of cute stamps and fantastic coloring.
Papers that I have used in the card are: Echo Park Happy Birthday (Floral Paper), Concord & 9th Sweet Pea (solid) cardstock, DCWV Hello Darlin’ Stack (Sentiment, pink argyle, woodgrain)
Crafty friends are the best. Here is a photo of a group of us in 2015 as we met up with Sweet Stamp Shoppe! Fun Times!
Stay crafty friends!
