We’re so excited to welcome our guest designer, Deborah Hellman:

Deborah is a retired teacher and lifelong crafter/artist. She is currently a design team member for Kat Scrappiness, Polkadoodles, and Artful Angel and a guest designer for My Favorite Things, Sweet November Stamps, and Paper Nest Dolls. When she isn’t crafting she loves spending time with her four grandchildren and furbaby Dakota.
Hello all, Deborah here and I am sharing my special Christmas card for all the coffee lovers out there. For my card, I decided to make a large 5×7 inch card, because it gave me more real-estate to work with.

For my main image I used an uncolored digital image from Polkadoodles, Latte Coffee Autumn Fall Fox. I just adore this cute coffee loving fox! Before I printed it, I digitally added some smaller pre-colored images around the base of the cup from Polkadoodles’ Baked with Love Gingerbread Bundle. With digitals, you can mix them or even select all pre-colored images to save time.

The sentiment I chose was just so funny, I had to use it. It is also a digital from Polkadoodles, Jolly Santa printable Christmas Greetings Sentiment Set. I just recently started using digital images in addition to my physical stamps and I love having more options. I have found it very easy to select, print, and color digi stamps. For my festive Christmas sparkle background, I dry embossed some kraft cardstock using Spellbinders’ Holly Flourish Embossing Folder and then heat embossed it with Ranger Embossing Powder Bridal Tinsel.

I then die-cut the embossed cardstock using My Favorite Things’ Elegant Rectangle STAX Die-namics. Next, I layered everything on a piece of burgundy cardstock that I had added just a bit of Ground Espresso Distress Ink to the edges and mounted that on top of another piece of metallic Kraft colored cardstock. I finished the card by adding just a few burgundy pearls from Honey Bee Harvest Pearl Stickers and a touch of white gel pen, because I thought… It’s Christmas, why not add a bit more sparkle.

Listed below are the Copic Alcohol Ink Markers that I used for this project:
E: 07, 09, 11, 19, 41, 43, 44, 53, 97
W: 0, 1
C: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
R: 39, 85, 89
G: 82, 85, 94
BG: 99
RV: 11
