Today I have a fun feature for Mugshot Monday—A fabulously fall inspired card featuring stamps from Super Sponsor Pixi Dust Designs! They have a huge assortment of caffeinated products–including their beloved mug dies! For today’s project I pulled out the Pumpkin Spice Treats stamp set. This set also has a coordinating die set, but I chose to do some masking for this project so I didn’t use it.
I was also inspired by the newest Inspired By challenge for this card! I always want to join in with these challeges and then promptly forget!! LOL. This was the *perfect* inspiration for my card today though!
The card starts off with the background–which features a scattered diagonal pattern–in the spirit of the #IB256 sketch–using the smaller acorn and leaf icons in the stamp set. The faves on these images just add a fun touch of whimsy! I stamped the images using Versafine Clair inks in shades of brown, orange, and green. These inks always work well for me with stamping with acrylic blocks instead of my MISTI.
Then I used some masking paper and masked the cluster of images for my smaller panel. I colored the images using Prismacolor colored pencils. I love using pencils on Kraft cardstock! Such a fun effect and pushes me a little outside my Copic-comfort zone!!
I mounted the smaller panel directly onto the background panel and then added both to a Kraft card base! That finished off my card!
Thanks so much for stopping by! Be sure to leave a comment below, and follow the CLC design team all week on the blog for more National Coffee Day inspiration before the big hop on Friday! If you want to keep up with my caffeinated adventures, be sure to follow me over on Instagram, YouTube, and of course my blog! See you all again soon!
