Autumn, sweet Autumn. Every year we go on a drive to see the changing colors. We also make s’mores one last time. Traditions are great. Since I’ve moved back to my hometown, the pace is slower, I cook more, bake more, and family time is even more precious to me.
I’m such a fan of Penny Black Stamps and their designers. I also love that when you buy a cling stamp, most of the time there is a colored sample on the packaging. Such a great way to inspire you to make a project and give you color combination ideas.
For this card I stamped the Penny Black Autumn Vibes image onto a piece of scrap paper so I could mask off a part of it to add the coffee to go cup. I masked off the pumpkin dangling from her hand and then stamped the image onto watercolor paper in Versafine onyx black ink. To top it off, I added the to go coffee cup from the Waffle Flower Crafts Coffee Shop Hamsters set.
The Waffle Flower Crafts Coffee Shop Hamsters set has so many sweet miniature coffee images that are perfect to add to any scene!
The colored layer on top of the base is from Concord & 9th cardstock in the color Juniper. For the watercolors I used the Altenew watercolor 36 half pan set, Bamboo, Lagoon, Frayed Leaf, Grapevine, Warm Sunshine, Fresh Lemon, Mountain Mist. Any watercolor brush in a medium will work. For this project I used a Pentel aqua water brush in medium and small.
Hoping this card inspires you get creative, or for a sweet beverage. Either way, I am in! I will be crafting tonight, and can’t wait to see you soon!
