Happy Monday and welcome back! I am excited about the card I am sharing today. Stencils seem to be a big trend lately. I like stencils for a few reasons:
- They are very versatile. I really like the layering versions, too!
- The price point is great!
- They don’t take up much space in my craft room.
A year ago, I decided to organize my stencils. I wanted to put them in a binder, labeled, in page protectors. (TBH, I gave this job to my daughter, Claire, to complete) When I was at Target purchasing the page protectors, I sent a text to Claire and asked if she thought 25 page protectors would be enough (that would store 50 stencils). We both agreed that we certainly did not have more than 50 stencils.
Well guess what? We were wrong. We definately needed more protectors! We were both very surprised as to how many stencils we had accumulated. (And since then, I have purchased lots more!!)
My card today features a newly released stencil from A Colorful Life Designs.
For this card, I used the following products:
- Mmm Coffee Stencil from A Colorful Life Designs
- Whole Latte Love stamps and thin cuts from Close to My Heart
- Catherine Pooler Inks : Sand Castle, Over Coffee, Macchiato, Icing on the Cake, and S’Mores
- Black Soot Distress Ink from Ranger
- Ice Blue Blend and Earth Brown Blend Spectrum Noir TriBlend Markers
- Patterned kraft card stock and solid card stock from my stash
- Post It Tape for masking
I had fun creating the gradiation with the different ink colors. I love how quick this card came together, too. And isn’t that stencil adorable?!?
Are you a fan of stencils? What is your favorite stencil or stenciling technique? I’d love to hear from you!
Hugs and mugs,
Mary
