Coffee Loving Papercrafters

Hello and welcome back!  This is Shanna today with another Mugshot Monday!  Today I am featuring a fun mass-produced card featuring the 2022 Stamptember set from Simon Says Stamp and super sponsor, Pretty Pink Posh!  I fell in love with these cocoa-loving marshmallow friends when I saw the set, but only recently got around to inking it up.

I wavered for a bit creatively on what design I wanted to do–and when I can’t decide I tend to reach for a card sketch or a challenge blog for inspiration.  I grabbed the most recent Sheetload of Cards sketch from Crafty Al over on YouTube and decided her mini-slimline design would work perfectly for this set!  It also let me use some pattern paper that has been in my stash for some time—total win!

For coloring I used Copic markers and decided to step outside my comfort zone and attempt to color in a monochromatic color way.  I started out by choosing blues I thought would work well with the papers—but ultimately needed to “toast” the marshmallows some so added some creamy tans to mix as well,…I guess true monochrome will have to be attempted another time LOL!

I added the sentiment directly onto the coffee cup in a navy ink to stamp.  Everything was adhered together using the Trinity Gluefriend Glue–which is a new crafting buddy for me!  To finish off the cards I grabbed Trinity Stamps Crystal Ball dew drops.
