Stitched Hot Chocolate Card

Hello there, Christine here with a stitched hot chocolate card and warm winter wishes!  It is definitely cold right now where I live and while I drink coffee in the morning at work, I switch over to hot chocolate in the afternoon!

I’m mostly using products from Super Sponsor Trinity Stamps, but the stitched die is from Posit Design.  First I made an A7 card base and then die cut a card panel out of Neenah solar white 110lb yardstick using the scalloped die from the Trinity Stamps A-7 Envelope Builder die set– a set I reach for often. I then used a paper trimmer to cut a piece of mint vellum that would fit inside the panel while still showing the stitching.

Like paper piecing, I find stitching to be a very cathartic process. I’m happy with how it turned out. I simply picked out thread that matched the cardstock I used- very simple. Quite a bit of bulk ends up being on the back of the cup due to stitching, so I used adhesive foam dots to prop up and adhere the hot chocolate.  The sentiment is from a Simon Say Stamp Holiday Wishes Sentiment Strips.

Thank you so much for stopping by- wishing you a warm and happy day wherever you are!
