Welcome back and Happy New Year! Today I’m playing with some goodies I picked up in the shop over at Super Sponsor Doodlebugs! Here’s how I was inspired:
I love it when I can put together a quick card with lots of sparkle and texture! I started this one with a gel press I created with some gold and blue acrylic paint and the Candy Cane Stripe stencil from Miss Ink Stamps. I die cut it using a square die from A Jillian Vance Design.
I used some of the beautiful papers from my quarterly Your Paper Insider Box! I matted the stitched square and cut the Avery Elle Wonky Frames from that beautiful Blue Cardstock and popped the frame up over the striped gel print. The beautiful blue glitter paper is also from the YPI Box and it was perfect for the Let It Snow die from Lawn Fawn. I cut the mug from the Pretty Pink Posh Winter Mug die set from another gel print as well as the the snowflake from the set out of a scrap of gold glitter paper. And finally the whipped topping die from another die set Pixie Dust Designs was cut from that gorgeous glossy and sparkly white paper from YPI.
As always I added a few sequins and that is me for today.
I’m playing along with Double Trouble Challenge Blog’s Something, Anything and Everything! I met the optional twist of “Use a Stencil” and I’m also playing along with one of Double Trouble’s prior partners, Use Your Stuff, whose challenge right now is to use stitching on your project, real or faux. I’ve got some stitching on my square gel print! You should check these challenges out! You have until tomorrow (January 5th) to play along at Double Trouble and about a week and a half to play over at Use Your Stuff!
I hope you enjoyed your visit! Did you know that Doodlebugs is sponsoring this month’s Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge? Head on over there for links and details and to play along. You could win a $25 gift code to the Doodlebugs shop!
Thanks so much for stopping. Please come again soon!
