Hello Coffee Lovers!!
It’s time for Brew & Craft Your Stash! We are looking for inspiration from Paper Crafters’ Handmade Cards and Card Creations for Him! Both are from 2013! So grab your cup and settle in!
Today we are looking at Paper Crafters’ Handmade Cards. We have made it to the next section, Stickers & Tape! This is an excellent opportunity to use up some of that washi tape and stickers that I have! I’m sure you can relate, too!!
I decided to use washi tape on today’s card, pulling out the orange, black, purple, and gold tapes that I have in my stash. Then I used a stitched rectangle die to cut some white card stock. With my Black Soot distress ink and an ink blender tool, I added black ink to the center of the panel and worked my way out to the edge. Then I used some water and the distress ink to add ink blotches all over the panel.
While the panel dried I pulled out Papertrey Ink’s Festive Mugs stamp set. It’s actually a Christmas set, but I used orange, purple, and green Catherine Pooler Inks to ink the three cups. It’s a great way to stretch your stamps.
Next, I pulled out Pretty Pink Posh’s Ghost Friends stamp set and stamped two of the ghosts. Then I used my Altenew Alchohol Markers to color them up and fussy cut them out. I also fussy cut the coffee cups and stamped the Boo to You on the orange cup.
When my panel was dry I added the washi tape alternating the different color tape. Then I added the coffee cups that I fussy cut out with foam tape. The ghosts were next and wa-la a super cute Halloween card using a Christmas stamp set!
Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope this inspires you to break out that washi tape and give them some love and of course, try using a stamp set for a different holiday than its intention!
Dana
