Hello, hello! Welcome to a ‘coffee date’ with my friend Vera Yates!

I’ll let Vera tell you a little about her, but before we do, let me give y’all a little back story of how we met. If my memory serves me right, I believe we came in contact with one another after both of us won the Paper Crafts Stamping Royalty contest in 2011. (Has it really been that long?!:)) We have a great connection/friendship and we stay in touch with writing/sending cards to one another. We have yet to meet in person, but hope to one day!

Here’s Vera…

Hi everyone. My name is Vera Wirianta Yates. Or you can also call me Ling. I grew up in the beautiful tropical country of Indonesia, but I’ve been calling Texas home for the past 27 years. I am mom to three dogs and outside cardmaking I work in residential construction business. I’ve always been interested in craft and doodling since I was a kid. My journey into paper crafting started with scrapbooking and branched out to card making soon after. I love playing with pretty papers, critter or flower stamps and pretty colors. I’d describe my style as CAS, cute & cheerful. I love using happy colors. I kind of a rainbow & unicorn kind of girl. Hah! And, dogs. I am very much a dog person with a very, very special love for pug. I currently designing for Spellbinders, The Ton and SugarPea Designs. You can find me on my blog and on Instagram under Wirianta.

For today’s coffee date we decided to use Super Sponsor Honey Bee Stamps. We focused on using one main set (Coffee Break) and then a theme of flowers/critters. Even though we knew of the one main set we were using, it was a surprise to see what each other would come up with for the theme part. So without further ado, here are our cards…
