Welcome back! I’ve got lots of fun for you today with an Iced Tea card using products from lots of different sponsors! Here’s how I was inspired:
I’ve been wanting to create one of these A2 Infinity Shaker Cards for a while. I picked up some pre-scored fronts from Tonic (Waffle Flower Stamps has some too in lots of sizes) with adhesive covered flaps that made it easy peasy!
I started by creating an alcohol ink panel and while it was still a little sticky, I added some Deco Foil to it. I trimmed it down to just under 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ so that the flaps would fit snugly around the edges. I stamped, cut and colored my citrus images from a fabulous set from Ellen Hutson called Squeeze The Day. I laid the shaker cover down with the sticky side of the tabs facing up. I laid a couple of the citrus images over the top, but upside down so that the image faced the table. I added some sequins across the area of the shaker cover and make sure if there is a front and a back, lay the front of the sequins facing down towards the table. I used a fabulous mix from Twidder’s Nook, Citrus Fusion, but used only the flat clay pieces… the lemons, limes, and grapefruit slices and the white hearts. Then I added some tiny beads as well.
Finally, I flipped the alcohol ink panel upside down and laid it over the top of the sequins. Holding it down, I stripped the protective cover from the adhesive covered tabs one at a time and folded them over the edge of the card and secured them on the back. And Voila! I had the image of the jar from Gracielle Design’s Happiness Digital set and sentiment printed previously and it was perfect for this card! I cut it out (and trimmed off the watermelon that was on the edge-but you can get one with a lemon theme too… I just happened to have this one already printed up), stamped a lemon from the EH set onto it and colored it up and then arranged it and the remaining citrus images over the top of the card.
Finally, I trimmed the sentiment to a banner and added it to the card and then used a few of the pieces from the Twiddler’s Nook mix as embellishments around the sentiment.
Don’t you love it??? Can’t wait to make another one of these!
Thanks so much for stopping! I hope you’ll come again soon for more caffeinated inspiration!
