Hello Coffee Lovers!!
It’s time for Brew & Craft Your Stash! This week I am doing something a little different! Since Father’s Day is coming up soon, I decided to make a Father’s Day Coffee card! Take a look in your stash for father’s day themed stamps and masculine cards and I encourage you to pair them up with some of your coffee stamps!!
I pulled out Catherine Pooler’s Fly Daddy stamp set and several CP inks! I was going with a kind of ocean/jewel town color scheme. I used Something Borrowed, Tranquil, Serenade, Fiesta Blue, Sea Foam, In the Park, and It’s a Boy.
I got my coffee cups from Sweet N Sassy Stamps, I Like Big Cups! I stamped 7 of them on white card stock, one for each color mentioned above. I fussy cut them all out, then I used an ink blending blush and colored each cup with one of the inks.
Next, I started stamping with the Fly Daddy stamp set, filling in the cups with fish and tackle. I did add some bubbles that I found in my stash from an older Hero Arts stamp set. For one cup I added the sentiment Your S Fly!
When I was done stamping I arranged the cups on a blue card base. I ended up only using 6 of the cups, after cutting the overhang I added the top part of one of the already used cups to fill in one area.
For a Father’s Day sentiment I pulled out an older Waffle Flower stamp set, stamped it in blue, and then inked up the white card stock as I thought the white was too stark against my very green/blue colors.
Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope this inspires you to pull out your masculine stamps and pair them with some coffee stamps to create a father’s day card!
Dana
