Coffee Loving Papercrafters

We welcome back our April Guest Designer, Carrie!

Hello, friends!  I am back with another fa-brew-lous card for you.  This slimline card is such a unique design that you can create using just about any coffee background stamps and flower dies in your collection.  As a coffee addict and gardener, I would love to receive this card from another coffee-loving friend. 

The heat embossed background for this card was created with a coffee mug stamp designed by Trinity Stamps.  I chose not to color the images to make them look more like a simple background pattern behind those bright spring flowers. 

I created the card panel in Cricut Design space.  If you are a Cricut user, I have a simple tutorial for you on my youtube channel that shows how to make the circle windows.

After adding that peachy floral background paper behind the windows, I layered some contrasting blue frames to create a break between the two patterns.  

With all those delicious images and patterns, I knew that the sentiment needed to be something bold.  To make it stand out, I chose to heat emboss You Bean So Much to Me on some coffee-colored cardstock and layered it atop some bright spring flowers.

I love how distress oxide inks create a chalky finish and react with water.  I took advantage of those characteristics when I added color to my white floral die cuts.  The layers of water and ink drops on these flowers help bring these little flowers to life.
