Guest Designer – April 1

We’re so excited to introduce our April Guest Designer – Carrie!

I am Miss. Carrie and I enjoy days filled with faith, family, LOTS of coffee and crafts. I believe that life is complicated enough, and crafting needs to be simple. Each week, I teach detailed step-by-step paper crafting and Cricut tutorials showing how to create scrapbook layouts, cards, home décor, and three-dimensional projects.  I love to take big overwhelming concepts and give them to my viewers in bite sized pieces so that everyone can be successful.  My goal is to take the mystery out of the “how did she do that” and show you how to create something beautiful.

You can follow Miss. Carrie’s Creations on Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, TikTok, and YouTube or visit my website at https://misscarriescreations.com.

I am so happy to join as a guest designer this month. Not only do I get to share my addiction to all things coffee with you, but I get to share some fun paper crafting projects.

Today, I have a sweet little puppoccino card project for you.  It has a bit of a vintage vibe with the lace and pattern papers and a little bit of whimsy with the polka dots and little dog in the cup.

The front panel on the card base was cut a little shorter than needed so that I could add the border to the card design.  I attached three lace pieces together to create a sturdy card component.

If you wanted to, you could add some pattern paper or washi tape inside the card and have it show through the lace.  I think that would look super cute.

Once all those fun textures and paper pieces were added to the card, I knew right away which stamps I wanted to use.  This collection of coffee cup stamps from Pawsome Stamps is full of sweet little mugs and pets.  I know that I probably have twelve other stamp sets just like it, but…that dog…and those polka-dots.  I just had to have them!

The two coffee cup images were shaded with SpectrumNoir Triblend markers.  I posted a video on my youtube channel showing two ways to use these markers on your stamped images and I share tips for adding color to coffee cups with alcohol markers.

I love adding texture with stitching and thread to my projects. The stitched border adds to the vintage feel and that thread bundle gives it some contrast and texture.

The last element added was that Sweet Puppuccino sentiment which is a combination of a sticker from the Echo Park paper collection I used and a heat embossed image.

Everything goes together so beautifully with that coffee bean paper and little coffee cup images. I hope that today’s project inspired you to grab yourself a warm cup of coffee and create a few little puppuccino cards.

I can’t wait to see what you create!
