Hi and welcome back to the blog. Mary here, and today I am having a coffee date with Claire Lamb. What you need to know is that this is not an unusual event. Claire is my daughter and we have coffee (and make cards together) all of the time! You also need to know that she is uber talented. Claire starting making cards around the same time I did – almost 15 years ago! I am so excited to have her as my coffee date!

Hi, I’m Claire and I’m so happy to be my mom’s coffee date! I’m currently living in Columbus, Ohio with my chatty black cat, Mr. Darcy. During the day, I work as a copywriter for HomeGoods, but at night, I work on cards and do a lot of baking! I have been lucky enough to be on the Inky Paws Challenge Team for Newton’s Nook for a little over a year, and it is the purrfect fit for me! I usually do clean-and-simple cards that focus on Copic coloring, but we decided to do something a little different for our coffee date!
For our date, we decided to both use the adorable Coffee Cuties Die Set from Sugar Pea Designs. For my card, I used the following products:
- Sugar Pea Designs “Coffee Cuties” Die Set
- Concord & Ninth “Coffee Blend Turnabout” Stamp Set (sentiment)
- Pinkfresh Studios “Mini Slimline Essentials Bundle” Die Set
- Broken China Distress Ink (for the background)
- Prize Ribbon, Chipped Sapphire, Black Soot, Antique Linen, Frayed Burlap, and Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxides
- Ranger Princess Gold Embossing Powder
Here’s my card for the coffee date.
For my card, I used the following products:
- Sugar Pea Designs “Coffee Cuties” Die Set
- Sugar Pea Designs “Whole Latte Words” Sugar Cut Set
- Close to My Heart “Whole Latte Love” Stamps for the sentiment
- Waffle Flower “Blanket Stitch” Layers Die
- Patterned paper from my stash
I really love the Claire’s color combo. Don’t you? I hope you enjoyed our coffee date as much as we did. Thanks a latte for stopping by!
