Coffee Loving Papercrafters

Hey there coffee loving crafty peeps!  It’s Kerry here and I’m back with another fun Sunday Sip!  This week I’m playing with the brand new Waffle Flower Crafts set called Coffee Shop Hamsters .  I fell in love with this set when I first saw it on IG and I went all in and got the whole coffee bundle.  Yeah, I love it!!!  Watch for more using this coffee release soon.  Have you purchased any of the collection?

I used the SPEECH BUBBLE STENCIL to create a traced thinking bubble for the sentiment.:  The Coffee Shop Talk Stamp Set is perfect for this sweet little hammie, don’t you think?!

To add color, I used new Distress Oxides that I purchased recently and then stamped the hamster and the thinking bubble sentiment and the flowers before fussy cutting them all.  I added a bit more Distress Oxide color to the images with a fine brush to finish them off.  Of course, I had to do a little machine stitching on the pennant to pop the cuties up on!

To create the fun background (and stamped elements) tapped some Distress Oxides onto my Gel plate and spritzed with water.  To remove the stamp pad lines, I rubbed with a wet paintbrush.  I then smushed the paper onto the gel plate and lifted to reveal the ink impression.  I stamped the hamster, sentiment and flower pot with Versafine Onyx over a scrap from the gel press impression then applied clear embossing powder.  I added extra Distress ink color on the images using a fine tip paint brush.  Colors used:  Background: Gathered Twigs, Evergreen Bough; Flower pot, flowers and cheeks:  Crushed Olive, Picked Raspberry
