Guest Designer – August 6

We’re super excited to announce our August Guest Designer, Farhana!

Hi crafty friends! My name is Farhana and I am so excited right now to be guest designing for the Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog! I’ve been crafting for almost 10 years now. It’s always been paper crafts, transitioning from scrapbooking to cardmaking. I’m always crafting with a coffee on the side, sometimes it’s hot but mostly ice! With two littles at home, crafting gives me a much needed break after bedtime! I can’t wait to share coffee inspired cards all month and inspire all of you! You can also find me on Instagram and on my blog.

Thank you Amy for inviting me to guest design for the month of August. I’m super excited not only for all the caffeinated craftiness I get to share, but also all the fall themed products I’ll get to use!

For my first post I thought that I would use a set that this blog enabled me to buy, but I hadn’t used it till now! To create this card, I started by stamping all the images from the A Breve Note stamp set from Ellen Hutson. I colored them to create a rainbow using copic markers and die cut them using the coordinating dies

Next I inked up a A2 card front using the Triangles Stencil using Distress Oxide Inks in Ground Espresso, Brushed Corduroy, and Frayed Burlap. After the ink dried, I embossed the sentiment using versafine onyx ink and clear embossing powder. I finished off the card by stacking the colored die cuts with foam and glue to create dimension, and lastly added some espresso jewels.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! Have a great weekend and I hope you get some crafty time!
