Hello there, Christine here with a tea card today- actually it is a tea bag card. I’ve seen tea served in a mason jar and thought that I would make such a card today. The Greetery just had a new release and the mason jar (Jumbo Jar die) and blooms (BotaniCuts Geranium die) are part of that release. I added a background die cut from Lil Inker and a hello sentiment from the Hello Sentimini die from Trinity Stamps to finish off the card.
I set out to make a shaker card that could house a tea bag- I did fold over the sides of the tea bad, but it wasn’t absolutely necessary. I did have to make the shaker part thicker than I usually would, so I die cut 2 layers of foam, glued those together to create enough room for the tea bag. I then glued some acetate and a die cut cardstock piece on top.
I then glued everything down after I tied a piece of twine around the jar. The lid of the jar and the hello sentiment were die cut out of silver foil cardstock. For the blooms, I die cut the pieces out of white 110lb Neenah solar white cardstock and ink blended distress oxide ink (kitsch flamingo and raspberry) with a sponge dauber. I added a yellow jewel in the middle to add extra interest.
Thank you so much for stopping by!
