Coffee Loving Papercrafters

Hello Crafters!  I am honored and excited to be a Guest for the Coffee Loving Cardmakers blog.  Since the pandemic, I discovered the joy of cardmaking.  And I can’t let it go!  

Even before CLC, I found myself buying coffee themed stamps and dies. I was over the moon to find likeminded crafters who enjoy making gorgeous works of art to showcase their love of hot beverages!  I have made coffee, tea, pumpkin spice and hot cocoa cards.  It is so much fun stretching my imagination.  And I love seeing all the crafters’ inspiration during the hop and in blog posts.

On this card for a friend, I featured an amazing stamp from the Erin Lee Creative coffee bundle!  I was super excited when she offered special pricing for us.  When I received the fabulous coffee kit, I had to use the main stamp.  I colored the image with my Copics.  I ended up with a coral and denim colorway.  And my friend loves glitter, so the coffee cup had to be glittered with Stickles. 

And then I was stuck.  I had the image done, but I knew I wanted to add a floral element to represent Spring.  And then I remembered that I have a new Glimmer machine.  I decided to give hot foiling a try.  A copper foil roll came in the box and it turned out to be a perfect match for the image. Serendipity!  

Hot foiling is completely new to me, but fun.  I paired both a floral and sentiment hot foiling to finish up this card.  To added variation to these foiled elements by using copper for the florals and matte gold for the sentiment.  Then I added some gems to finish off the front of the card. 

Then I stamped a cute coffee sentiment inside for my friend.  I hope you enjoy this card, as I had great time making it. Thank you, CLC for the chance to take part as a Guest.  Cheers!
