Coffee Loving Papercrafters

Welcome back!  Can you believe it’s May already??  It’s a new month and a new challenge!  Be sure to hang around until the end and see who won last month’s challenge, but before you do that, check out what I’ve got for you today:

Super Sponsor Trinity Stamps hopped with us for National Bubble Tea Day.  I used the Summertime Sips cup to create a yummy Bubble Tea card and loved the die set so much I decided to use it again for today!  Except this time it’s full of some yummy Iced Cappuccino and this cutie pie Dir-tea Bunny can attest to it!

I started by cutting the slimline base using this Trinity Slimline die set.  I used a couple stencils from Miss Ink to create the background.  I used the Scene Builder Cloud stencil for the green hills and the clouds and the Rainbow Sky stencil set for the sun.

I stamped, colored, and die cut the Dir-tea Bunny and the flowers from the Love You Bunches set.  Then I cut the cup pieces out, the cup frame from white cardstock twice and a solid piece from acetate twice, the lid and straw from white cardstock and handcut a bit of alcohol inked paper at an angle for the coffee.  I colored the frame, lid and straw and attached an acetate piece to each frame and then sandwiched everything together.  I probably could have done the cup in one layer, but the sandwich seemed like it would go together more easily.

Finally I stamped the Om Nom Nom sentiment onto a speech bubble and then used the AJVD Mini Headline Type Alpha for my Here Comes The Sun… I cut the letters in white and colored them the same colors as the flowers.  I attached everything to my base making sure the sun shined through the cup.  I love that the bunnies paws are cut out with the coordinating die and he can hold the straw!  So fun!
