Brew & Craft Your Stash – Basic Supplies

Hello Coffee Lovers!!

It’s time for Brew & Craft Your Stash We are looking for inspiration from Paper Crafters Handmade Cards and Card Creations for Him! Both are from 2013! So grab your cup and settle in!

Today we are looking at Paper Crafters Handmade Cards. The first section is Basic Supplies and it opens with one card featuring pattern paper and rhinestones. I went with the pattern paper route!

I started with Trinity Stamps Blessing Bear, stamping the bear on some coffee pattern paper from Catherine Pooler, The Daily Grind. For the lighter areas like the bear’s belly and nose, I stamped the bear again on the woodgrain pattern. Then I stamped the bear twice on white card stock, one image for my base and the other just to color and cut out the flowers. I fussy cut everything out and adhered it all to my base bear.

Next, I decided to make a coffee cup into a card and put the bear on the cup. I folded some purple card stock and then used Trinity Stamps Summertime Sips die to cut the cardstock. To make it a card, I place the top of the die just above the folded edge.

I cut the coffee cup lid from the same purple card stock and used some purple ink to ink around the edges of the cup and to make the cup lid darker. I adhered the lid to the top of the cup, this also hides the folded edge of the card.

With purple ink, I stamped the word Hugs from the Blessing Bear set. I notched one end and added some twine to the other to make a tag. I tied it in a bow and adhered it to the bear’s hands. I added foam tape to the back of the tag and adhered it to the bear, so it wouldn’t flop around.

Last, I added the bear to the front of my purple coffee cup card with foam tape. The coffee cup card is roughly the size of a mini slimline card, 3 1/4 x 6 1/4 inches.

Thanks so much for stopping by!! I hope this inspires you to pull out your pattern paper and do a little paper piecing!
