So it seems I’ve lost a bit of my cardmaking mojo. I started several cards for a post for yesterday and they just weren’t hitting me. I decided to step away and try something totally different. I spotted some note cards that I picked up from Paper Source. They’re made from this gorgeous handmade paper. I was inspired by the pattern and decided to make a card duo with them.
Sometimes it is the over thinking of a card design that wrecks my creativity. That is what was happening to me. I let the pattern paper and dies do the work for ME. I’m featuring CAS-ual Fridays Stamps today. Make sure you check out their SALE. The mug is from their Coffee Cup Dies and I used their To Go Cup Dies.
I took the notecard and sliced it in half. One side I used for the background panel, mounted on white cardstock. The mug has a sentiment from the Stay Strong set heat embossed in gold.
The To Go Cup was cut from the pattern paper and the sentiment, from Hot Coffee was stamped in black on the coffee sleeve. When it came down to it, the card assembly, photog and now typing up of the post was wrapped up in an hour. Sometimes it is just not worth forcing creativity.
