Caffeine Fueled Paper Play – Be Strong

Welcome back!  Have you been enjoying the Spring/Summer 2021 Coffee Lovers Blog Hop??  I’ve got some more Rubbernecker Stamps Caffeinated Goodness for you!  Have you seen the great new Layered Coffee Cup stamp and die?

I just love this cup!  The set has the layered stamps for the cup and a few sentiments and comes with a wonderful instruction sheet so it’s easy to know the sequence and even has suggested colors although you can use any colors you want.. most important is knowing light to dark shades and where they go and the instructions make it SO easy!  This background was originally a reject from my Gelli Plate play session but I always hang onto them because they’re great to use for die cuts or sometimes “just adding another layer makes them perfect for a project”!  If you are new to Gelli Plate Art or just looking for inspiration, visit Tania Ahmed over on Instagram… I start there frequently!

To be honest, I stamped the cup first… I loved the idea of adding some hot pink to the mix so for my darkest color I made the switch to Fucschia and I loved the way it looked.  As I was getting ready to choose a background, I came across this panel that was really just pink and orangey yellow acrylic paint and I decided a layer from the Wavy Background stamp would add a perfect steamy kind of feel.  I placed the panel in the Misti and since it was already cut and I couldn’t butt it up to the corner and get complete coverage from the stamp, I added a little adhesive to keep it in place and lined it up on the grid paper.  You’ll need to take your foam layer out of the Misti for a rubber cling stamp.  I inked it up with the Fuschia color first and stamped it with that and then cleaned it off and added some Versamark, stamped and added some Wow Glitter Embossing Powder.

I was going through my “extra” frames and came across this one that was cut with the OPC die for a previous project and since the die cuts lots of yummy frames at once it is fun to be able to save them and use them later!  This one was perfect!

And that’s me for today!  NOW!  Don’t forget that Rubbernecker Stamps is the Sponsor this month for the Caffeine Fueled Paper Play Challenge!  If you are playing along with the Blog Hop and you’ve used a coffee, tea or cocoa themed product from ANY Sponsor, past or present, you can link it up to our monthly challenge too!  Another chance to win and Rubbernecker has offered up a great coffee themed prize package for the March Challenge!  Find the linkup and all of the details here!

Good luck and have fun creating!  Thanks for stopping and come again soon!
