Coffee Loving Papercrafters

Hey there coffee loving crafty peeps!  It’s Kerry here and I’m back with another fun Sunday Sip!  Today I’m jumping into SPRING and EASTER card making by sharing one of my first Easter creations with you.  Why YES, I did create a little aromatherapy action with this card as I used some coffee to stain the tissue paper.  MMM…It smells deelish!

To create my little collage, I started out by diecutting the fun Reverse Stitched Scalloped Rectangle from Lawn Fawn and then attached it to some pastel purple paper.  Next, I took a piece of white tissue paper and spritzed it with coffee, then sprinkled coffee grounds over it.  I let it sit for quite a while before blasting it with the heat gun to speed up the drying process…The coffee grounds went EVERYWHERE but the aroma was delightful!  After that, I crinkled it up and stitched it onto the framed panel using a few sloppy trails of stitching.  Next,  I tore a scrap of yummy crocheted digi paper from Graciellie Design “Love Puppies” collection and then tucked it into the edges of the tissue paper before starting the assemblage of yumminess on top.

The perfectly sweet bunny carrying coffee is from the The Cat’s Pajama’s set called “Make Tea”.  It’s such a sweet little bunny set and it’s perfect for an Easter card.  I then diecut the newest little chocolate bunny (I colored white cardstock with brown copic for the perfect coloring!) from the Easter Basket Die set  and then added it to my card panel.  I also tucked some gold ric-rack, golden thread and a tiny crocheted flower to my card before flicking some white paint on the panel.

I just love how this card turned out and it smells so yummy!  PERKS of loving coffee, right?!
