Hello Coffee Lovers!!
It’s time for Brew & Craft Your Stash!! Challenge #73 in the 75 Creative Card Challenges Magazine by Paper Crafts 2013!! Grab your drink of choice and get ready for some great crafty ideas!!!
Challenge #73 – Fussy-Cut a Design From Patterned Paper. 3 of the cards in the magazines fussy cut flowers or leaves. One fussy cut a cute girl and boy celebrating a birthday! Almost any pattern paper can be fussy cut!!
I started my card with PinkFresh Studio pattern paper I received with their Grab Bag. I picked out a pretty pattern with birds and flowers, in an almost Scandinavian-ish look. I fussy cut each little bundle and then arranged them another watercolor pattern cardstock. I liked how it looked so I adhered everything down.
Next, I pulled out Sweet N Sassy I Like Big Cups stamp sets and stamped the teacup on the same watercolor pattern paper I added my fussy cut too. I stamped it where the pink meets the white and shows the ‘splatter’s’ the pattern has. An easy way to have a watercolor look with no work!!!
For a sentiment, I used Coffee Talk 2 to add the Mom Fuel sentiment to the cut. I fussy cut the cup out and added it to the card with foam tape, trimming off the overhang.
Last, for a little sparkle, I added a few clear sequins. I hope this inspires you to look at your pattern paper (I know you have plenty!!!) a little different and encourages you to use it!!!
Thanks for stopping by!!
Dana
