We’re so excited to introduce our February Guest Designer, Claire. She was our International Tea Day winner!

My name is Claire and I am so happy to be the guestie for February! I am a recent college graduate currently living in Columbus, Ohio. My favorite things are card making, coffee, chocolate, and my cat, Mr. Darcy. I have been making cards for a little over five years, and I quickly fell in love with stamping and all forms of papercrafting! I can’t wait to share my caffeinated crafts with you!
Hello Coffee Loving Crafters!
I am so excited and grateful to be the guest designer for February! For my first project, I wanted to create a fun shaker card using the Espresso Mix Sequins from Kat Scrappiness!

To start my card, I stamped the floral image from the Concord and Ninth “Type Talk” stamp set. Then, I masked the stamped flowers using masking paper, and stamped the coffee cup image from the Stamplorations “Holiday Mocha Feels” stamp set. Next, I fussy cut my image and used a small circle die to cut out the center of the cup.
To color my image, I used Copic markers in the following colors:
Cup – BG45, BG13, BG32, BG11, BG10
Flowers – YR12, YR21, YR31, R30, R32
Leaves: YG67, YG63, YG61
Coffee and Beans: E27, E25

Next, I watercolored a 4.25 x 5.5” piece of watercolor cardstock using Tea Dye and Walnut Stain Distress Inks. To get a large splatter that was purposefully imperfect, I sprayed my paper with water, saturating the center of the paper pretty well, and then putting my inks onto a brush and tapping the ink on to the wet paper.
When my watercolor was dry, I stamped the sentiment “You Mocha Me Happy” from the Altenew “Coffee Talk” stamp set using a dark brown ink.
To assemble my card, I adhered two layers of white tulle behind the circle of my colored coffee image using a strong liquid glue. Next, I put foam tape on the back of my image and filled the shaker window with the Espresso Mix sequins as well as some iridescent clear sequins. I attached the coffee shaker to the front of my card, then went over the flowers in my Nuvo glitter pen.

I hope my card inspires you to get creative with your stamps! Meet you back here next Friday!
