Brew & Craft Your Stash – Make a Banner – Coffee Loving Papercrafters

It’s time for Brew & Craft Your Stash!! Challenge #66 in the 75 Creative Card Challenges Magazine by Paper Crafts 2013!! Grab your drink of choice and get ready for some great crafty ideas!!!

Challenge #66 – Make a Banner. Two cards in the magazine created their banners with stamps. The other used banner die cuts from pattern paper to create their banners.

My card has a banner, I made a banner out of Christmas lights, but it doesn’t feature the banner. I had this idea and I had to run with it!! 🙂I started with Not 2 Shabby’s Let’s Do Coffee stamp set. I wanted to use this scene building stamp set, but add some elements to make it holiday!! So I started looking through my stash for holiday items that were the right size to go with the Let’s Do Coffee set. I found several things from a a couple Hello Bluebird stamps that worked. I used Frosty Littles, Merry Mice and Frosty Friends.

I used my MISTI to stamp all the Not 2 Shabby and Hello Bluebird stamps with Ink on 3 Fadeout inkpad. Then I got to coloring everything with my copic markers. When that was done I fussy cut out each image.

From an older Christmas pattern paper pad I used a stitched rectangle die to cut a background. I adhered it to a red card base and then worked on arranging all the images.

Once I was happy with everything I started adding everything to the card with foam tape. I made sure to have my Christmas light banner across the counter. I can see using this coffee shop with each holiday and season!!
