Hi there, Christine here today with a snarky cat slider cat using supplies from Super Sponsor Simon Says Stamp and Lawn Fawn. There is one image with a mug, which made me happy, so I just imagined there was coffee in it! The images and sentiments in the stamp set make me giggle and I hope that they bring a smile to your face!
I decided to make a slider card using the Lawn Fawn Magic Picture Changer dies. There is a great video on the product page that shows exactly how to put the mechanism together.
I first stamped the image of the first cat (Tim Holtz Stamptember stamp set) onto Neenah solar white cardstock, copic colored it in (R59, R46, E35, E31, G28, G24) and then die cut it out because the square window in the center of the die indicates what part of the image can be seen when the mechanism is put together.
I don’t usually use busy cardstock in my cards, but I decided to see if some papers from the Tim Holtz Christmas Worn Wallpaper would work and I think they do. I always try different color schemes to see what I’m happy with, I often don’t have a vision of the final card, it’s usually a work in progress.
I did the exact same thing (stamp, color, die cut) with a second cat image and used the second die that comes in the Lawn Fawn Magic Picture Changer set that get embedded in the first die cut. I used this image because to be it feels like he has just given up and decided he was naughty.
I next die cut one of the “wallpapers” from the Tim Holtz Christmas Worn Wallpaper with the Lawn Fawn Magic Picture changer add-on. I stamped the “naughty or nice” sentiment onto Neenah solar white cardstock and die cut it with a banner die I had in my stash and mounted it with foam tape onto the christmas wallpaper panel.
Finally I adhered the entire mechanism to a die cut panel of Neenah solar white cardstock and adhered that to an A2 card base of red cardstock.
Thank you so much for stopping by- wishing you a happy and coffee-filled day!
