Coffee + Cards – A card duo

Hello Hello!  I’m a bit late this morning.  Crafty Problems.  I designed a slimline only to realize that it was a pill to photograph in my lightbox.  So I had to start all over [this is all this morning].  I’m still trying to get a hang of the lightbox so bear with me!

I decided to create a Stampin’ Up duo, coffee + plaid = Yes, Please!

Super Sponsor Stampin’ Up Independent Demonstrator Shannon Fralish is who I picked up all my supplies from.  She’s new to us this year and I’m super excited to have her on board.  A bit about me and my Stampin’ Up background.  Somehow I got into a Stampin’ Up club.  I’ve been racking my brain trying to remember how…but it was in the early 2000’s.  My Splitcoaststampers Gallery starts in 2005 and then in 2007 I started my blog.

Okay, let’s chat about my cards.  They both use panels from the Plaid Tidings 6×6.   They each start with a Smoky Slate A2 base:

This first card uses  the circle elements from Warm Hugs.  The sentiment is from Press On.  It has been heat embossed in white.

I wanted to coordinate the cards so they each have a small bit of the other plaid.

My second card uses a to go cup + sentiment from Press On.  The added tree is from the Warm Hugs set.

It makes is super easy to whip up a couple cards when you use the same overall design.  I always like to mix it up a bit so that they aren’t the exact designs.

I was thoroughly inspired by the Global Project Designs’s sketch challenge:

I’ll be back later this afternoon with the 2020 Fall | Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop Wrap Up post!  I always announce it in our FB group, if you aren’t a member, join today!

These are both super cute! I started out buying paper from a local scrapbook store, not knowing what the heck I was doing. My husband signed me up for a scrapbook 101 class, where I was invited to a card making class, where I met a Demo for SU and it’s all history from there. lol.
