Hello Coffee Lovers!!
The Coffee Loving Cardmakers Fall/Winter Blog Hop is still going, but time is getting short! Make sure to get your project linked up by tomorrow! It’s time for Brew & Craft Your Stash!! Challenge #64 in the 75 Creative Card Challenges Magazine by Paper Crafts 2013!! Grab your drink of choice and get ready for some great crafty ideas!!!
Challenge #64 – Make Your Own Rainbow. I skipped Challenge #63, it was use a clip in an unique way. I skipped it because the only clips I have are some tiny ones that I use to keep things closed as glue dries. And I need them, lol!! But #64 is an easy one. One card in the magazine used those plastic like beads to make a rainbow heart. Another made a glitter rainbow and one made a rainbow swirl with rhinestones. The last card inked up a rainbow star burst!
I went the easy way with my card, mainly because I waited to receive a new product from Waffle Flower that would make inking up my rainbow much easier!! Before I received my shipment I worked first on the Christmas coffee cup.
I started with Stamps of Life Hot Chocolate die set, cutting the coffee mug from white card stock. Then I stamped Waffle Flower Fa – La – La stamp set on my coffee cup. With my Copic markers I colored the image. I also stamped the two music notes and colored them in solid black.
A few days later I received my package and used the new Stripes Builder Stencil from Waffle Flower. I used it a little different then the how to video they have because I wanted to ink a rainbow, but it made it so much easier then using washi tape to make my stripes!
I stopped my stripes a little bit from the top of the panel. Then I stamped the Merry Christmas in the white space. I added the panel to a Kraft card base and then last added the coffee cup with foam tape.
Thanks so much for stopping by!!
Dana
