Hello Coffee Lovers!!
It’s time for Brew & Craft Your Stash!! Challenge #62 in the 75 Creative Card Challenges Magazine by Paper Crafts 2013!! Grab your drink of choice and get ready for some great crafty ideas!!!
Challenge #62 – Use Vellum. One card cut vellum circles and added clear epoxy over a few of them. Another card cut different color vellum in long waves to create an interesting background. The third card stamped and embossed a background. The last card cut several circle layers of pink vellum to create a flower.
I decided to do some watercolor smooshing on my vellum panel that I cut with a stitched rectangle. Since its not watercolor paper, I used washi tape to hold the vellum down. Then I used three Distress Oxide inks, using a heat gun to dry each color before starting the next.
Then I pulled out STAMPlorations After Coffee set and stamped the coffee cup on some watercolor cardstock. Next, I pulled out Penny Black Sweet Witch and stamped her on the cup.
I used my Distress Markers and a water brush to color the cup and witch. When it was dry I fussy cut the cup out. Then I adhered it to my vellum with foam tape.
Last, I stamped the sentiment Trick or Treat below the cup and adhered the vellum to an orange card base.
Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope this inspires you to break out your vellum and use it on a future card!
