Sunday Sip…New Stamps!

Hello there coffee loving crafty friends!  Today I’m sharing a card I created using some fun new stamps by a new stamp company I discovered recently.  Journals For Life is a small woman owned company in the USA.  It offers clear photopolymer stamps and other items journaling enthusiasts love.  I was particularly excited and drawn to a couple of their stamp sets for you know, COFFEE reasons so I headed right over to their shop and grabbed a few items!  You can find PLANT LADY STAMP and Tablet E-Reader sets are a few stamps you might want to purchase soon!  They are fun, current and oh so delish!  I grabbed them both and can’t wait to share another card with you featuring the fun new Plant Lady Set.  Also check out their cute Coffee themed sticker set HERE and this Coffee and Tea themed ephemera set HERE.  They arrived in very QUICK TIME so I can say that her service is excellent!  They are offering a 30% discount until TODAY using the code FALLINGLEAVES.

So for my first card, I used the fun Tablet E-Reader set.  I love this set because it contains two different coffee images and some fun words that fit perfectly on the tablet screen.  While I don’t do ZOOM, I can relate totally to the all consuming hold that virtual classrooms have on teachers right now.  So yes, I’m READING, WORKING, BBCUing on repeat all week long.  I’m also drinking my share of coffee for this year!

I stamped the images using Versafine Clair Nocturne ink and then added some clear embossing over that.  Next, I applied some Tombow colors onto the plastic sleeve the stamps come in and placed my stamped image over that to create a deeeeelish watercolor pool effect.  Next, I cut out the image-fussy style and used the same technique on a card base.  I also added some shimmer while the ink was wet to give the card some pearlescent shine.

To finish things off, I spattered some black acrylic paint onto the panel and let it dry before attaching the tablet with foam squares.  I mounted this panel onto a piece of black cardstock to allow the great watercolor contrast to shine and then attached the whole thing to a cream card base.

Thanks for hopping over to check out my card today.  I hope it inspires you a little…and I’m enabling you to just make that CLICK.  These stamps are calling our name!
