Hello there Coffee loving crafty peeps! It’s Kerry here and I’m back with another fun Sunday Sip. This week, I’m sharing a little artsy card featuring a collage of coffee goodness. I used the fun itty bitty set from AlteNew called “Coffee Ring”. It’s the perfect little collage set! I paired it up with the yummy Over Coffee ink from Catherine Pooler Designs. Her ink pads always remind me of my first loves…Colorbox Chalk inks…not because their chalky but because they are juicy and have a slick surface-not a felt/linen surface…SWOON!
I started out by stamping the coffee stain marks directly onto a kraft card base in a vertical manner. I then used a blender brush to brush some of the same ink from the outside edge to the inside of the card (top down, bottom up). This created a fun brushstroke texture of color that I love. Next, I used a toothbrush to flick some black acrylic paint on the panel-just over the stamped images…not too much.
After that, I stamped the sentiment onto a white piece of cardstock using Versafine Onyx ink and then heat embossed that with clear EP. Next, I cut the sentiment into a pennant shape and stapled the edge with my mini stapler. Then I cut a piece of a coffee filter and folded it so that I could apply it to my card panel. Then I just layered all the yummy fibers, sequins and a shell button. That’s it! Super fun and super unique…
Thanks so much for stopping over to check out my card! I finished up my first week of virtual teaching and phew, I’m plum tuckered out! I rewarded myself with some homemade coffee ice cream with a little splash of coffee liqueur. SO Delish!
