Hello there coffee crafters! It’s Kerry here and I’m back with another fun Sunday Sip. This weekend concludes my summer “away” from my students and on Tuesday, I’ll be virtually teaching 15 adorable kindergarteners. I’m excited, but there is no doubt that the school year will be so different than any other school year I’ve experienced in almost 25 years of teaching. I decided to create a little coffee love on this card because I will be needing it a lot!
I started out by applying some pinkish sparkle fingernail polish to the white cardstock. I need a little sparkle in my life. I then moved on to adding some paint swipes and splatters of coffee and then applied a piece of ribbon over that. I machine stitched here and there to add more texture and dimension and then added a bit more sparkly nail polish over that to mask the glue bleed-through that was on the ribbon.
To finish things off, I added some sparkly bling and a few stamped hearts (that I colored in with Copics and finished off the panel by stamping the sentiment with VersaFine Onyx ink.
My stamps of choice this week: The fun Miss Ink set: Java Joe’s. It’s a great set full of itty bitty elements that work perfectly on mixed media/collage style cards.
I hope my card inspires you to get a little sparkly…and make sure to grab that coffee…It’s good to the last drop!
