Hello Coffee Lovers!!
It’s time for Brew & Craft Your Stash!! Challenge #55 in the 75 Creative Card Challenges Magazine by Paper Crafts 2013!! Grab your drink of choice and get ready for some great crafty ideas!!!
Challenge #55 – Use Fabric. Two of the cards in the Challenge Magazine used shaped dies to cut some fabric, one actually stamped the matching stamp on the fabric. One card used the belt loop from a pair of jeans on their card. The last card created a mini quilt, using a starburst die to cut out different fabrics and sewing them together before adding them to a card base.
I picked out a left over peice of orange fabric from my mom’s stash of fabric. With a small piece I decided to make mini cards!! To start I used the circle die from The Greetery Sentiment Suite Basics Die set and cut the fabric four times. Then I found some thing chipboard saved from packaging to cut four circles. I used liquid adhesive to adhere the fabric circles to the chipboard circles. This way the fabric will not droop!
While the glue was drying I pulled out Catherine Poolers Perfect Blend stamp set. I used CP inks Over Coffee, Mandarin Spice, Icing on the Cake and then I fussy cut out the cups and containers.
The stamp set has a sentiment that is on a curve, which is perfect with my circles!! I placed my circle and the stamp, then with the help of my Misti stamped each card. Then I adhered the fabric circles and then the images. The cards are 3 x 3 and I have a new 3 x 3 envelope die coming from The Stamp Market to make my coffee set complete with envelopes!!
Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope this inspires you use any fabric you might have in your stash!
