Coffee Loving Papercrafters

Hello Everyone!!!

Silvia’s here today and I’m soooo excited to be guest designer for the Coffee Loving Cardmakers blog for the whole month of June….woot-woot!!!

You know, I’m a real coffeeholic and I can’t imagine a day without this dark elixir of happiness: cold, hot, with milk…. everything works!

Another big passion of me is cardmaking. I discovered my creative side becoming a mum 13 years ago and I tried quite everything (felt, polymer clay, jewelry, hair accessories). I then won a Lawn Fawn stamp set on an Instagram giveaway and my life changed completely: I discovered cardmaking world and now I can’t have enough of it!

I love making colorful cards full of sweet and adorable critters and I hope you’ll enjoy them during this month.

For my first spot I decided to play with some Mama Elephant stamp sets and dies I bought from Seven Hills Craft, one of my favorite crafty shop around Europe (I’m an Italian woman so…)

I started stamping images from “Zodiac Rabbit” and “Bubble Tea” stamp sets with Memento rich cocoa ink, I colored with Spectrum Noir Illustrator alcohol markers and I fussy cut them.

I then die cut a 4.25″ x 5.5″ stitched rectangles from white cardstock and I colored it using the amazing Heffy Doodle “Candy Store” stencil and wilted violet, milled lavender and spun sugar Distress inks. I ink blended edges with vintage photo Distress Oxide ink and I splattered it with clean water first and loosened gold Nuvo mousse then.

I used Mama Elephant “Hello Friend Script” die and I cut it three times from Gina K “Turquoise Sea” cardstock. I also used Lawn Fawn “Rooftop Border” die to die cut a scalloped border from the same turquoise cardstock and I built up my scene using a mix of liquid glue and foam square.
