Coffee Loving Papercrafters

Welcome back to a new Caffeine Fueled Paper Play Challenge!  May was a whirlwind wasn’t it??  Thanks to everyone who played along both with the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop and our little challenge here!  For June we are featuring Super Sponsor Stamplorations!  Here’s how I was inspired:

I’m playing along with some challenges over at Stamplorations!  After June, the regular monthly challenges over at Stamplorations will be taking the Summer off, so if you’d like to play along now is the time.  I took my inspiration for this one from the Theme and Photo Prompt Challenge:

All of that glorious green and gold… I see a tiny portion of some feathers and my splatters serve as confetti!

I started by cutting a panel using the Crazy Double Running Stitch Dies!  I love these dies and the largest covers an entire 5 1/2 x 4 1/4″ card base… I decided I wanted a bit of frame around mine so I cut that deep green layer 5 5/8″ x 4 3/8″.  I stamped the feathers from the Trendy Feathers 2 stamp set (which is sold out right now but will be available when it’s back in the new shop) in Versamark and then heat embossed them in Wow Metallic Gold Rich Pale Powder.  Next I blended on some Lucky Clover and Mermaid Lagoon inks.  Then splattered some Wilted Violet Distress Oxide Spray and some gold and green Heidi Swapp Color Shine sprays.

While that dried, I die cut the base out of that beautiful emerald green card stock and one of the cup layers from some beautiful green glitter paper using the Zen Coffee Cup Layering Dies.  I also stamped the sentiment from the Coffeeology Stamp Set with Versamark and used some more of the Wow Gold Embossing Powder to heat emboss it.  I fussy cut it out so that it wouldn’t cover up that beautiful coffee cup and then attached all of my coffee cup layers.

Finally I used the Coffee Cup Stencil and applied some gold texture paste through just the steam portion of the stencil and then popped the assembled cup underneath it.  Just a few sequins for a pretty gold mix I had in my stash and I was done!  I’m also playing along with the June Stencil Challenge which is always Anything Goes and the Never Ending Anything Goes Challenge… which is… well… Anything Goes and Never Ending.  Check out the links for the rules and to play along!
