Hello there coffee loving crafty peeps! It’s Kerry here and I’m back with another fun Sunday Sip! What a wonderful week-end adventure I had! You know with all this quarantining I’ve been doing for the past two months (not to mention the WEEKS I was out of commission with my back problem), I let my car sit all alone in it’s parking space in front of my house for two months and only drove it twice. Well, my car was very sad…It just quit. I tried to go to the post office on Thursday and to my surprise, my car wouldn’t start, it wouldn’t make a sound. The battery was DEAD! Now, I have a hybrid so that means that I have one of those fancy schmancy fobby things I have to start my car with- well, I gave it new batteries, asked my neighbor to help jump my car but nothing worked. SOOO…I had to call the tow truck! I was praying so hard that it was just the little battery and not the big hybrid kahuna…Well, this Saturday, I spent the day at the dealership and phew, it was the little battery. It was replaced and I was on my way to the post office.
I’ve learned my lesson in an expensive way…. Drive your car at least once a week around the block if you have to. Your batteries will appreciate it! So as soon as I got that taken care of, I rushed right over to my messy stamp table and started making a bigger mess. Oh, and this card. I think I love this little snake-worm like a LOT! I picked up this cute little set from Your Next Stamp called “Love and Coffee” from Butterfly Reflections Ink. a while back and this is it’s inaugural ink! They don’t have them in the shop right now but you can still find them directly at Your Next Stamp HERE. WOOP WOOP! Do you have this set yet? It’s pretty new, but so many already have it. There are so many cute images in this set I can’t wait to get them inky.
I decided to make this little snake wrapping around a cup sitting in some spring grass. After adding the grass, I also added some whispy clouds and then mounted the image onto a piece of green cardstock before machine stitching around it. I then attached it to some fun “Back to Basics” Patterned paper from Pink and Main.
Of course I had to add some ribbon, so this double bow treatment fit the bill! :). I hope you have a wonderful week….and for all those mothers out there, Happy Mother’s Day!
