Guest Designer – April 29

We’re so excited to have Candice Fisher as our Guest Designer today!

Hi! I am a crafter at heart and have found that over the years I have tried my hand at one creative style or another.  You will see me cardmaking most days now!  I live up in the cold of Minnesota with my youngest daughter who is 16 and my enabling wonderful husband of over 20 years!  My oldest daughter lives near and my son is on his 2 year mission in Madrid, Spain speaking Spanish!

I was thrilled when Amy asked if I would like to GD for you this month and I jumped at the chance.  I love being able to create using all different companies to make a fun card, like this summer coffee one!

I used these companies products for my card:

Avery Elle Market Stand stamps & coordinating dies
Create a Smile Favorite Cookie stamps (mug)
Create a Smile Mouse Au Chocolat stamps (mug sentiment)
Trinity Stamps Slimline Scalloped Panel die
Sunny Studio Fluffy Clouds dies
Whimsy Stamps Grass & Cloud Edger dies
Paperie Ink Happy Bird Day stamps

I began my card with an 8 1/2 x 3 1/2 card base which fits perfectly into your standard size envelopes.

For the background, I first die cut the scalloped frame, taped off the edges and inked the sky with salty ocean & tumbled glass.  I then die cut 2 stitched clouds directly from the inked sky and 2 more from white cardstock to fill in the space.  I die cut multiple rows of grass, inked each one with twisted citron & shabby shutters and set aside to assemble later.

Next, I stamped all the images listed above, along with the sentiments on the market stand, colored them all with copic markers and then either used coordinating dies or my scan n’ cut to cut them all out.

To put my card together, I glued the scalloped background down and the white clouds onto the card base.  I also used glue for the market stand and first row of grass.  For a bit of dimension, I added the next three rows of grass with foam tape and most of the images.  To finish it up, I added one more sentiment on a trimmed white banner.

I thank you for visiting with me today and I hope this bright card brought some inspiration for you to create with all of your different stamp sets and add some fun coffee theme into it!

Hugs,
Candice
