Hello there coffee loving friends! It’s Kerry here and I’m back with another fun Sunday Sip! Today, I’m sharing a masculine card featuring the yummy new products from Ranger-and the Wendy Vecchi Make Art line. These products will be available March 31 but I’m sharing a little sneaky-peek courtesy of Ranger. WOOP!
It isn’t often that I create a masculine themed card, but the new stamp set “Bravo” had my eyes going ga-ga over the little wheat images. It also sparked my AH HA! moment when I realized I had a mug in my collection that had the same wheat images! I grabbed this handmade mug (made by Andrew Gilliatt) from my collection…It includes a gorgeous moon and wheat scene! SOOO…Of course, I HAD to coffee-fy my card!
I started out by inking up those wheat-like images on a piece of Wendy Vecchi Perfect Cardstock in Grey. I used several colors (Potting Soil, Acorn, Watering Can and Carnation Red) and layers of stamping using her fun new mini magnetic STAY-tion and Perfect Stamp Positioner as well as her Perfect Stamp Block. I love that the block is thick and has one straight edge and two scalloped edges- perfect for positioning and for gripping!
After stamping the background, I added some flicks of black acrylic paint and silver metallic paint onto the panel to help tie everything together. I then grabbed some kraft cardstock and created a sentiment panel. I stenciled the “Thanks” from the stamp/die/stencil set using the Watering Can ink and then added the “cheering for you” sentiment over that using Carnation Red ink. I mounted this panel onto a dark gray piece of cardstock and then machine stitched the top before wrapping it with some jute. To finish things off, I attached a shell button a feather and a trio of coffee beans. I mounted this panel onto a corrugated kraft panel before mounting the whole thing onto a dark gray card base.
Take a peek at all these yummy goodies coming to Ranger at the end of March!!! These items are perfectly portable and will be a mainstay in my crop bag. They’re soooo fun too!
Thanks for hopping over to check out my card and I hope I inspired you to make something coffee-licous and MASCULINE today! :). See you again next week!
