Happy Monday! Katie here. For those of you in the US, hope you had a good Thanksgiving Holiday. For the rest of you, hope you had a great weekend. Today I have a fun winter card to share.
This stamp set by Avery Elle is so cute! The bear is so sweet! I imagine heading up to a sledding hill and after some fun runs down the hill, warming myself up with a yummy cup of cocoa.
Here is how I made it:
- I stamped the main image of the stand on both white and red. I used the red version for the base and accented it with some more Copic colors. I wanted it to look dark red like it was painted. I colored the banner and posts with my copics.
- Next, I stamped my other items on Copic friendly paper and colored them, including my bear, cup, sleds, tree and present. I also restamped the snow bits so I could pop them out using dimensionals.
- I set everything aside and pulled out some blue cardstock cut to 4 X 5.25. On top of it I used my AE white pigment ink and stencil to make the background. The pigment ink may not be meant for this, but it totally works if you do it with a sponge and dabbing motion.
- Once the ink was dry, I stamped and added the sentiment. Then I started layering my elements using foam tape and different layers of dimension.
- Lastly, I mounted it all on the white base.
Here is a close up from a different angles so you can see some of the details:
Pretty cute right? I really love this set and I also have the summer Market Stand version.
Well, that is all I have today. Feel free to pop on over to my blog for a full list of supplies. Thanks so very much for visiting today!
Caffeinated Hugs and Inky Dreams! ~Katie
